Pearls in the Danube bend

We depart in the morning.

We depart with bus from the meeting point from where we go to Visegrád. This city is in the heart of the Danube bend. It was earlier the royal residence. We can see the citadel and we get to know the history of the castle. It last from the reign of King Béla IV. to reign of King Matthias. In the Castle are some exhibitions:  stone collection of Matthias age, the history of the Royal Palace, kitchen of the king, Corvin suite…

After the visit of Visegrád we go with bus to Esztergom where we can see the most important and famous emblem of the city, the Basilica of Esztergom. It can fin din the castle hill and it is the biggest church of the country. It is possible to visit after the Basilica the Exchequer and the Castle Museum.  We can propose for the brave that you can go upstairs to the cupola lookout tower and to the bell tower.  Tha panorama is very beautiful.

 

After Esztergom we go to Szentendre. We see the sights with walk and arrive the principal square. We can see the houses of the serb and greek  squatter, craftsman and admire the serb-greek inheritance: the Blagovesztenszka orthodox church. We walk along the Greek street to Danube embankment and we can see the Museum of Margit Kovács ceramist.

We walk along to Danube promenade Duna and return the city centre. We go to the middle of the principal square to the orthodox crucifix. It took the Serbian.  From this time begin the free time. You can buy the handworker products, art products or you can have lunch in Danube promenade or drink a cup of coffee in the street. It will be worth going to the Szamos Marzipan who can see the Museum and the manufactory.
